Who I Am

At 12, I gripped my first video camera, eyes wide with possibility. By 1998, I was coding my first website, chasing a spark that never faded. As a Jungle Cruise skipper at Disneyland, I spun tales for laughing guests under the towering bamboo and animatronic wildlife. Armed with a Biola University film degree, I raced from the Inland Empire to Malibu, logging late-night hours at a post-production house, ingesting Beta SP tapes for a reality show, while interning in Santa Monica, prepping Avid bays for editors and mastering Media Composer in exchange for my hustle.

Fresh from riveting post-production work, I landed at Cox Communications in Orange County as a production assistant on HomeView, weaving engaging stories about home aquariums, exotic mushrooms, and backyard remodels, later rising to Associate Producer to craft segments solo, earning a Telly Award for our team’s compelling work. Through every tech shift, one truth burned bright: stories change everything.

In 2004, I launched Bret Robertson Creative Studio to ignite narratives for all—from scrappy startups to nationwide nonprofits, cozy dance studios to sprawling e-commerce brands. Whether through bold branding, dynamic websites, vivid videos, or striking photography, I help organizations shine. From my early days tinkering with FrontPage’s clunky templates, I hand-coded WordPress sites with HTML, CSS, and PHP, pouring hours into crafting pixel-perfect designs. Now, using Framer’s sleek no-code platform, I transform visions into stunning websites with ease, blending my hard-earned expertise with modern tools to create beauty that captivates.
